Had a lovely time in Edinburgh and although we didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel its functional and very central and within good walking distance of a lot of the major tourist spots. What we really liked was the service provided. I had a minor issue but I had a quick solution from the hotel team. It was my nephew’s birthday and it was casually mentioned to Shabana and when we later came back to the hotel there was a card and gift. Shabana also mentioned to us how to get around and what to see so very helpful. Its these touches that make all the difference so thank you for making our stay great.

Great value, great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean, comfortable. Room seemed recently refurbished. Hot, powerful shower. Everything you'd expect from a decent Premier Inn. Buffet breakfast was also good, at the attached bar/restaurant

The room I had for my three-night stay was perfect. Spacious, clean, and I even had a view of the castle (the room was a Premium plus room). I found the area very quiet, with plenty of bus stops nearby.

I don't usually make reviews, but after 2 nights here with my pregnant wife I am happy to leave a positive one to support this honest hotel. Despite the many harsh reviews I had read, the place is very well located, the price is probably the cheapest in Edinburgh, the personnel is available and kind, and the continental breakfast is not expensive and not bad. With a little additional charge you get a room with a stunning view over the castle, which allows you to feel you are making the most of your stay simply sitting on the sofa of your bedroom and staring at the Edinburgh castle at every hour of day and night. I do recomend booking this hotel selecting a room with a view: it cost me just a little more than any other standard airbnb, without the services of a hotel, badly located and without a view on the castle. I feel people are becoming very demanding and apt to critize others nowadays, especially honest hotels: I wonder if they are as harsh with themselves. p.s. the check out was at 1200 and allowed us to spend an extra morning in town before getting changed and leaving the city. Very convenient.

I stayed here for a long weekend for Burn’s Night and I had initially paid £311 for a Premier Plus room with a view. A brilliant price for a great location. This included £15 for early check in. My room didn’t end up being ready until the standard 3pm, stuff happens! The £15 was refunded and the man on the reception was lovely, sorry I didn’t catch your name! It would be helpful to be notified when your room is ready, I felt like I couldn’t really do much as I had to keep popping in. The room itself had an amazing view and was fairly clean. The carpet had a few stains and the duvet was quite stained, although the mattress was clean (the parts that I looked at). I’m not going to list everything, as I didn’t complain about anything. I do think that the cleaners should lay off the bleach a bit though, the carpets in my family’s rooms (and the halls) had quite a bit of bleach on. Overall, I would stay here again, if only just for the view!

Arrived on a Sunday afternoon too chaos. A coach load leaving and a coach load arriving so anticipated a slow check in. Not the case. We were checked in quickly, the lovely lady serving gave us all the info we needed to get to our room. Standard Premier Inn room on parr with other Premier Inns we have stayed at. Fabulous location just minutes away from the Scottish Museum, the art gallery etc. Overally Friendly / Helpful Staff. The biggest let down was breakfast. Paid extra for it and wouldnt again. Cooked fine but It was cold.. not just luke warm but cold and I was not able to finish it. Knocked a star off for this reason.

Great location, within easy walking distance of all the main sights in Edinburgh. Prior to our arrival, we enquired about a castle-view room and were advised they were sold out. We also mentioned it was our daughter’s birthday. On arrival, we were delighted to discover that our room did in fact have a view of the castle. The staff had also left a card and a bag of chocolates for our daughter’s birthday, which was a really thoughtful touch. The room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable. We only used the restaurant for breakfast, but there was plenty of choice. All in all, a great stay and we would highly recommend this hotel.
